LuWow 2005
Thanks so much to everyone that contributed to the Temptu tattoo booth at Luwow. You all did an awesome job and Im so proud of our club! The grand total profit...yes profit, because many members donated supplies, was $92.50! Hehe don't worry about the fifty cents though, we're not missing anything but I must mention that a little white unicorn was involved. Even despite my apparent nervousness when I spilled half of the red paint while working on my first tattoo, we still have much of our paint left. Perhaps we could use them again sometime? We need to discuss how we would like to use our funds, perhaps for trips or maybe some big goal?
The night started off with some members setting up, we actually were able to sell tattoos even before Luwow started. Our advisor Mrs. Gelastopoulos couldn't stay for the night (no teacher wants to stay during the dancing) but she did wish us well with the booth. We were setup right in front of the entrance and were able to get customers right away. I was very pleased with the turnout, for much of the time we had three artists working simultaneously with people still waiting in line. Im glad the tattoos were such a hit even while having a face paint rivalry with another club. All of our customers seemed very pleased with their tattoos and we didn't have any disappointments. It was very encouraging to see our tattoo artists take to the skill so easily and really grab that opportunity to free hand much of the tattoos. Again I am very proud of you guys, hehe I know it was hard to concentrate with a stressed out asian girl on your backs. I hope everyone that came by or helped out enjoyed our tattoo booth.
Check out the pics....if anyone has more, comment with a link or a message so we could hook it up. Sorry I only have a few, I was pretty busy!

Remember that 50 cent lil white unicorn I mentioned? Check out the grins on these faces and you oughta realize why.For those of you who missed this opportunity, I hope that you get a chance to help out the club during Titanfest, the next Eastlake club event which is on August 27. It is a mandatory club event so the Humanities Society will be there, please come and show your support while cleaning up the school, it is also a community service event.
I will try to put up a club calendar asap, your officers will be compiling city arts exhibitions and performances. If you have any information please go ahead and submit a comment.
Thank you everyone, this was a great start for the Humanities Society. I hope all of our efforts will turn out with as much or even more enthusiasm and success as the Luwow.
Much love and thanks,
LA
