Heads up
Hey everyone I just wanted to throw a few things out there as a heads up. I've been researching with April about some events going down in San Diego in the next few months so Im just going to be posting them up bit by bit till we get a full calendar running.
Next Saturday, August 27th from 8am to 2 pm is Eastlake's Titan Fest so whoever wants to pick up on some community service hours, this would be an awesome opportunity. This is a mandatory event for all clubs so don't worry about going alone because you won't be. Next week I'll find out where were going to be cleaning up, I signed up for the senior lawn just in case there might be a chance to do some painting but the location isn't permanent yet.
On Sunday, August 28th, there will be a Chula Vista "Music in the Park" show in Eastlake community park featuring the Point Loma College Jazz Band. This would be an awesome opportunity to have a "meet and eat" picnic in the park. We could have a club potluck and enjoy some nice jazz. The concert is from 5:30-7:00pm and it is free. If anyone is interested, and you would like to attend, leave a comment and we'll start planning it out.
The Humanities Society is planning to get T shirts. I'm still in the process of contacting a printer but I'm really set on getting club t shirts. If you guys have any ideas in mind for the t shirt design or any information about a good screen t company please do tell. All of you artists out there, keep in mind that we will be needing a club logo so get at those sketchbooks. I had an idea to use Da Vinci's Vitruvian man but please speak up if you have any more ideas. We will try our hardest to get the shirts at the lowest price possible.
Plan for attending a club meeting next wednesday, its not yet confirmed but it most likely will be. Well that's about it for now, the blogs still under construction and Im working on adding more links and graphics so please keep yourselves up to date because this club has a lot ahead of it.
