The Chariot - Homecoming

GO GREEK!!!
Congratulations to everyone who helped out to create our beautiful chariot, we won second place, closely following the Class of 06 in the visual contest. Our chariot was outstanding and probably the best but the Homecoming Court voted and its all politics from there. Anyways, here are a few pics from Friday afternoon at the judging and from the race. Also, great job Jin, Bryan and Tom, our chariot team for having a good spirited run in the race. We're all very proud of everyone who put so much of an effort into creating the Chariot and giving the Greek spirit some life that night. Our theme was a crowd favorite and our chariot will hopefully make it into the year book. Absolutely incredible everyone!

The Chariot III

The Humanities Society Greek Chariot is well on its way to being the best looking chariot and team at the Homecoming Chariot Race. Today we affixed a golden shield onto the front of the chariot with the Athenian emblem. We also performed a little garage maintenance and swapped our flat wheels for a pair that would let us reach our optimum condition for the race. Our entire Chariot team was there so we decided on a little dress rehearsal and spruced up their outfits. Well, words come short and the night was long so feast your eyes on a sneak peak of the Humanities Society Chariot.

And this is only for practice...just wait until you see the real deal.

Also, I finally got a hold of the pictures from the Concert In The Park event that we attended in August thanks to Kristy Elbel. Here's a link back to that post or you can browse through the archives anytime. 2005_08_01_ehshumanitiessociety_archive.html
Thanks again for those that have been working so hard on the chariot! It looks great and will be even better once we're finished. We're planning for one last chariot workday on Thursday, we'll bring it back to school and decorate the sides with our club name. Good going guys!
